Microchipping & the Law from April 2016

From 6th April 2016 all dogs must be microchipped and registered to an approved database from the time they are 8 weeks old. This is particularly important if you are buying a puppy - make sure the puppy is microchipped when you collect it otherwise you could be liable to a fine of £500.

In the case of puppies, the first registered owner MUST be the breeder. It is then up to you as the new owner to change the details into your name and keep them updated as necessary ie if you move home or change address.

I am a Peddymark Registerd Microchip Implanter.

All puppies bred by me will be microchipped before leaving for new homes and so will comply with the new law.
